WPRK Marketing Director

Eligibility Criteria: Only current/incoming Rollins students will be considered for this position.
 
Position Summary:
Job Description: WPRK’s Marketing Director develops and implements marketing strategies for WPRK, a live, 24/7 radio station broadcasting from Rollins College. The position will collaborate with station staff and volunteers to promote existing content and work on projects to enhance the station’s visibility on campus and in the community. Associated tasks include:
  • Creating logos and marketing materials for print and web
  • Developing social media posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat
  • Posting event information on WPRK.org (utilizing WordPress, no experience required)
  • Running promotion of Fox Fest, WPRK’s annual concert
  • Assisting with station-wide projects (concerts, events)
  • Representing WPRK through participation in campus and community events

Anticipated Employment Dates: 8/17/2020 – 4/27/2021
Supervisor Name, Department: Greg Golden, Student Media / WPRK
Scheduled Hours: 8 hours per week, flexible based on student's class schedule. 
Work Environment: WPRK, in Rollins Hall. Work will require use of computer, sitting, standing, and use of broadcast technology.
Physical Requirements: 
  • Sitting 
  • Working at a computer 

Summer position: This position is also hired for the summer semester, ideally filled by the candidate hired for the 2020-21 academic year. The stipend for the summer is $1000, and may include housing based on need. If the person hired for 2020-21 is not available for the summer, another student employee will be appointed to fill in.
Anticipated Employment Dates: 4/29/2020 – 8/16/2020
